Introducing Brentwood Crossing

Truman is proposing a vibrant, mixed-use community at 4122 and 4122R Brentwood Road NW, next to the Brentwood LRT Station and Blakiston Park.

Brentwood Crossing will transform the 6.8- acre site into a more connected, walkable and transit-oriented destination, with new homes, shops and services, public open spaces, and improved connections throughout the community, in alignment with the Brentwood Station Area Redevelopment Plan (ARP).

The proposal would allow for:

  • Building heights ranging between 6 to 30 storeys, aligned with the Brentwood Station ARP 38-90m maximum building height

  • Up to a maximum of 1,550 new homes

  • Approximately 55,000 square feet of commercial / retail space along a new commercial high street

  • Approximately 0.7 acres of new high-quality, public park and open space

  • Direct pedestrian connections to transit and nearby parks

A New High Street

A new pedestrian-friendly commercial high street will connect Brentwood Way NW at University City with Brentwood Road NW.

Designed for both pedestrians and vehicles, the street will be lined with mixed-use buildings featuring shops and services at ground level, including opportunities for a new Calgary Co-op urban-format grocery anchor, with new homes above. This will bring more people and everyday amenities within a short walk of the Brentwood LRT Station and MAX Orange bus loop.

More Parks & gathering Spaces

Brentwood Crossing will introduce approximately 0.7 acres of new public park and open space, extending the recently enhanced Blakiston Park into the site.

New landscaped pathways, gathering areas and passive recreation opportunities will create welcoming spaces for residents, visitors and the broader community. Homes with individual entrances will face the park, helping create an active and inviting park edge, while building heights will transition down toward the surrounding neighbourhood.

The planning Process

To support the proposal, Truman is submitting an Outline Plan, Land Use Redesignation and Policy Amendment application to The City of Calgary. These applications will establish the planning framework needed to guide the site’s future development.
